About Us

Loaves and Fishes is a safety-net food program serving the hungry living in Contra Costa County.  For over 35 years Loaves and Fishes has provided hunger relief to individuals, families, seniors, disadvantaged youth and people with disabilities. Over the years we have become a reliable and reputable food program in Contra Costa County. In FY 2019-2019 we are continuing to serve the hungry nutritious food, provide a food pantry and just recently started a workforce development program by providing culinary classes through the Loaves and Fishes Culinary Training Program for adults experiencing barriers to employment. The mission of Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa is to provide community-based food programs and partner services that focus on basic needs.  We nourish lives!
